          If you have a concern about a student service located on the St. George Campus, your first step is to talk to the Director of the service.

          If your concern has not been resolved after taking this step, your second step should be to contact the Executive/Senior Director of the service.

    Being able to maintain our hair not only is a form of self-care, but it is also Is radical and political. This space is created to celebrate black hair in all its forms. Students will be able to purchase hair products to maintain hair and scalp health, they’ll also be able to watch live hair demos and receive a braid up or hair cut.

    RC Black Student Welcome with Black Rotman Commerce (BRC)
    Thursday, September 7, 3 – 5 p.m.
    Student Commons, West Lounge
    Join us at Black Rotman Commerce for an exciting orientation event where BRC takes you through frequently asked questions, their best advice and fun games. This opportunity will allow you to ease into community life at Rotman Commerce. Chat with upper-year students and learn about how to navigate through university life and studies. In addition, there will be plenty of activities, pizza, donuts and refreshments. Come enjoy it with us! We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to the new academic year.

    Get ready to soak up some sun and feel the vibes at the hottest FROSH event of the year! WISA is throwing a picnic at the park, and you don’t want to miss out. Bring your crew, your blankets, and let’s lime together. We’ve got games galore to keep you entertained, from tug-of-war to dominoes. And indulge in some delectable Caribbean snacks, provided by the club! Whether you are a long-time member or new to the scene, we welcome everyone with open arms— you’ll make friends faster than a soca beat drop.     Black Students at the Faculty of Kinesiology & Physical Education are invited to the Faculty's Black Student Orientation. Join us for an opportunity to connect with fellow incoming students, current students and faculty who share a similar identity!

    Black Queer and Trans Social
    Thursday, September 21, 12 – 2 p.m.
    Join SGDO and Student Engagement during Queer Orientation for a space made just for you! Come eat, laugh and chat amongst people who just get it! Please register to attend the Black 2SLGBTQ+ Student Space. Location will be shared with those who register. Registration information is kept confidential. If you have concerns or questions about registration, please contact sgdo@utoronto.ca or modele.kuforiji@utoronto.ca.

    African International Support Group
    Fridays, 5 – 6:30 p.m. (Bi-weekly, begins October 6, 2023)
    This support group is a space for International identifying and newcomer African students to connect with peers, share challenges and triumphs and foster social support while building a sense of community. Sessions will take place bi-weekly on Fridays from 5 – 6:30 p.m. EST. Sessions will include themed discussions, resource sharing and lots of fun through networking and icebreaker activities! This support group will include sessions for graduate and undergraduate students.
